By default, the sort order for queries in WordPress is descending. This will produce posts in reverse chronological order, the desired result for most blogs.
In some cases, it may be desirable to have posts in ascending order. When activated, this plugin changes the default order from descending to ascending. This affects all queries (home page, archives, dates, etc). Deactivating the plugin returns the default order to descending.
IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE RESULT, IT’S THE THEME
How well this works out varies from theme to theme. Depending on a theme’s navigation labels for posts, things may or may not make sense. If labels are “Earlier” and “Later”, things will seem backwards. Some themes make sense either way. For example, in the “Twenty Fifteen” theme, “Previous” is above “Next”, suggesting list order rather than time.

Useful for reordering my posts... just like a book
By Fairy-Rider on September 26, 2016
- As I activated the plugin network wide; it started running without any trouble! I believe this plugin has did an awsome job with arranging posts in ascending order. As I test read my site; it's kind of like reading a book. I don't need to go to the last page to update my older posts.
- Without this plugin... It will be awkward to edit posts from the oldest to newest. Writing a new post is kind of like adding a new page to a book.
- No need to change your theme's code.
- The advantage of using this plugin is: You can enable to expand your site with newer posts via the last page,--all without a worry.
- The disadvantage is: If you have news archives; this will not do because, most news sites have descending posts,--enabling visitors to catch the recent news as they visit news sites.
Excellent!
